Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description

We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support a busy and growing construction company in San Diego, California. This role focuses on the efficient handling and processing of incoming payments, while maintaining a keen eye for the generation of regular AR reports and forecasts. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will also be tasked with managing collections for overdue accounts and ensuring the AR system remains up-to-date. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

This is an urgent, immediate, contract or contract-to-hire Accounts Receivable Specialist position for an organization within the construction industry. This is immediate and 100% on-site in Miramar.

Responsibilities:

- Efficiently handle and process incoming payments

- Generate and review regular AR reports and forecasts for future collection timelines

- Investigate and resolve account discrepancies in a timely manner

- Manage collections for overdue accounts, ensuring professional communication with customer A/P departments

- Monitor daily transactions to keep the AR system current

- Assist with tracking and processing vendor preliminary notices and lien release requirements

- Conduct credit checks and manage the setup of new customer accounts in the system

- Utilize various accounting software systems, including ADP - Financial Services, CRM, Epic Software, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

- Carry out accounting functions including accounts receivable (AR), billing functions, cash activity, and check processing.

Requirements - Proficient in Accounting Software Systems.

- Experience with ADP - Financial Services is necessary.

- Familiarity with CRM systems is required.

- Experience with Epic Software is a plus.

- Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.

- Competency in Accounting Functions is required.

- Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.

- Familiarity with Billing Functions is required.

- Experience in managing Cash Activity is necessary.

- Proficiency in Check Processing is a plus.
