Systems Engineer III

Job Description

A large telecom client is looking to hire a Systems Engineer III to join their growing Lab Operations organization. This individual will focus on the operations and maintenance of the clients internal lab. They will be responsible for maintaining the cloud infrastructure of the lab in AWS, working with microservice architecture, and troubleshooting issues related to continuous automation validation. This team operates in a pre-production environment, assisting with break-fix scenarios. The microservices this team supports include traditional telecommunications services such as video streaming, IP, Android, iOS, routers, and more. Another key responsibility of this role will be communicating with the development team to explain the nature of issues and what needs to be done to resolve them. While this is not a development role, it will involve deploying microservice applications and managing migrations.

Pay Range: $42-46 / hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of professional IT experience

Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, or related

Experience with scripting languages like Shell, Puppet, BASH, Perl

Familiarity with infrastructure automation technologies such as Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker

Monitoring experience with tools like DataDog, Grafana, Splunk Experience with CI/ CD (Git, Gitlab, Jenkins, Argo)

Experience building API's and services using Rest, SOAP, or related

Telecommunications industry experience null
