  • Develops methods, assessments, and plans for increasing corporate identity/VISN and facility visibility.
  • Oversees policy development and governance activities relating to communications.
  • Oversees VHA's initiatives to educate the general public, media, and VA stakeholders of the activities and services carried out by VHA.

Reviews and guides the work of VHA Communications staff to assure the work quality and timely accomplishment of assigned duties and responsibilities. Manages budget and allocates resources to meet established VHA strategic goals. Develops methods, assessments, and plans, for increasing corporate identity/VISN and facility visibility. Oversees policy development and governance activities relating to the communications that support and facilitate the ability of VHA facilities to establish eligibility for VA sponsored health care benefits. Oversees VHA's initiatives to educate the general public, media, and VA stakeholders (including members of Congress) of the activities and services carried out by VHA. Performs other related duties as assigned.
