The Quality Assurance Technician at Actalent is responsible for performing various quality assurance tasks including inspecting machine parts and products, performing inspections at different stages, documenting dimensions, and assisting machinists with quality issues. Responsibilities
- Perform first piece, in process, and final inspections
- Document dimensions using standard procedure and customer requirements
- Inspect parts to customer blueprints using GD&T
- Use CMM, MicroVu, and other inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
- Perform casting layout
- Assist machinists with quality issues
- Perform first piece, in process, final, and outside process inspections
- Troubleshoot, analyze problems, and resolve issues
- Take on additional duties as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Strong experience with ISO standards/audits
- High level of ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and sketches
- Experience using CMM, MicroVu, and other inspection equipment
- Casting layout experience
