Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Licensed as a physical therapist assistant in the state of Rhode Island.
  • BLS certification.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Basic skills in math and computer science.
  • Appropriate knowledge of physical therapy treatment techniques.
  • Effective problem-solving skills for physical therapy treatment planning and execution.
  • Basic skills in teaching and self-assessment of learning needs, strengths, and professional goals.
  • Ability to safely execute all job responsibilities without risking injury to self or patients.

Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to patients who have impairments, functional limitations or disabilities resulting from injury, disease or other causes. Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team. Educate patient, families and others as directed by the Physical Therapist.
