  • Prepare various financial and accounting records and reports, including revenue and expenditure reports, executive summaries, and aging reports.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control measures and manage the purchasing process.
  • Handle the entire payroll processing function, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
  • Manage credit and collections activities, in addition to monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Oversee sales and use tax filings and manage the shipping and receiving administrative process.
  • Prepare and manage journal entries and ensure accurate narrative analysis of significant financial variances to budget and forecast.
  • Utilize various accounting software systems and ERP solutions for efficient financial management.

Qualifications

Required

  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Experience with ADP - Financial Services
  • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
  • Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC)
  • Ability to manage various Accounting Functions
  • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Auditing skills
  • Understanding of Budget Processes
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification preferred
  • Strong understanding of tax codes and laws
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure.

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Assistant Controller in Hingham, Massachusetts. This position is 20 hours per week and fully remote. this role plays a crucial part in our financial management team, overseeing various accounting functions in a dynamic industry. The position requires a high level of organizational skills, detail-orientation, and an understanding of ERP solutions and accounting software systems.
