  • In the absence of stress testing and supervise application, performing various duties assigned by the nursing supervisor (ANS).
  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 0-2 years of EKG or patient care experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Preferred

  • Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree
  • Completion of accredited cardiac technician program or equivalent clinical experience
  • 2-4 years of EKG or patient care experience

**Overview**

**We at Fairview Health Services are looking for a dedicated cardiology technician to join our team at our** **University of Minnesota Medical Center (East Bank)** **!** The Cardiology Technicians are responsible for providing diagnostic testing inpatients and outpatients. This includes 12-Lead ECGs, Holter, Event and BP monitor application. In the absence of stress testing and supervise application, the Cardiology Technician will perform various duties assigned by the nursing supervisor (ANS) including, but not limited to, transporting patients unmonitored, discharging patients, retrieval of supplies for/from different units, and retrieval/restocking of linen **.**

**Schedule:** This position will be working 0.8 FTE (64 hours every two weeks). **The shift length will be 8 hour long overnight shifts from 10:45pm-7:15am overnight and an every other weekend rotation.**
