The Facilities Manager - Construction at Octapharma Plasma is responsible for managing vendor operations, major repairs, refurbishment projects, and the logistics of expansion projects across all company locations. Responsibilities

  • Manage vendor operations including security, maintenance, sprinkler, fire extinguisher, lighting, plumbing, recycling, etc. for all Octapharma Plasma's locations including corporate, donor centers, laboratory and warehouse.
  • Manage major repairs, refurbishment projects, and the logistics of expansion projects.
  • Provide periodic reports to the Director of Facilities and attend periodic meetings with the Senior Director of Operations regarding project updates, project costs, new issues, productivity/accomplishments, incidents and work order details.
  • Solicit bids and prepare cost estimates and project budgets. Assess cost and get prior approval for new projects.
  • Assist as daily project manager of projects involving complete build outs and center relocations as required. Consult with Director of Facilities as required to complete the projects.
  • Perform Facilities administrative duties as required. This includes project accounting, tracking of invoices, etc.
  • Use hand tools as needed to perform minor handyman work.
  • Support Octapharma Plasma's Safety Committee with OSHA compliance, hazard analysis, MSDS management, job safety analysis, personal protective equipment management, training and safety inspections as required.
  • Obtain local, state, and federal permits and certificates as required.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of five (5) years' work experience in a facilities maintenance management/supervisory position with emphasis on buildings.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with management supervisory level skills preferred.
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills and adaptability to changing priorities and multiple priorities.
  • Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels and provide good customer service.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Strong computer skills with Word and Excel proficiency required.
  • Familiar with the use of hand tools and can provide minor handyman repairs and installations as required.
  • Approximately forty percent (40%) travel as required.

Preferred

  • College degree strongly preferred.
