Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and edit documents using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Prepare, process and/or track office related forms such as Doc Prep Guides, printing and duplication requests, telecommuting applications, and performance evaluations.
  • Submit ITS tickets and help requests on behalf of new and current staff.
  • Prepare travel reimbursement requests for staff and submit through SFS (Statewide Financial System).
  • Prepare and/or review purchase requests and submit through SFS.
  • Prepare weekly supply orders for Albany and satellite offices.
  • Provide clerical support to the Consistency and Contract Units as needed.
  • Assist with activities related to the BOA (Brownfield Opportunity Areas) conformance and designation, LWRP (Local Waterfront Revitalization Program) 60-day review and approval process, and LWRP section processing.
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding activities for OPDCI.
  • Various duties associated with office upkeep and maintenance.
  • Clerical and/or administrative support to OPDCI and special projects, as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • One year of clerical experience.
  • Permanent service in this title or one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/c service in a title SG-07 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law.
  • 55 B/C Appointment: Individuals certified eligible for the 55 B/C program under the Governor's Program to Hire Persons/Veterans with Disabilities pursuant to Section 55 B/C of the Civil Service Law will also be considered. To be considered, you must provide a copy of your letter of eligibility with your response.

Minimum Qualifications NY HELPSThis title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title maybe filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply. At this time, agencies may recruit and hire employees by making temporary appointments. At a future date (within one year of permanent appointment), it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all of the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State.
