\n**About the Role**
\n
\nAs a CBRE Events Manager, you will be responsible for the management of a small team assigned to meetings, events & conference services.
\n
\nThis job is part of the Events job function. They are responsible for the creation, management, and execution of marketing events for internal and external clients.
\n
\n**What You'll Do**
\n
\nProvide formal supervision to employees. Supervise the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Lead all aspects of the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
\n
\nCoordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department target dates. Mentor and coach as needed.
\n
\nServe as primary contact with clients for meeting & events forecasts and strategies.
\n
\nTroubleshoot and resolve client inquiries and complaints.
\n
\nMaintain department budget. Approve purchase orders for event supplies as requested by the team.
\n
\nImplement improvements for event success. This includes making improvements to processes, procedures, and systems. Review reports to measure efficiency and present findings to management.
\n
\nEnsure operations and vendors are follows location requirements.
\n
\nAccountable for supervising department SLAs, KPIs, and benchmarks. Supervise related performance data and determine solutions for gaps.
\n
\nLead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
\n
\nApply knowledge of own field and how own subject area integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
\n
\nIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

\n**What You'll Need**
\n
\n+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
\n
\n+ Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
\n
\n+ Ability to guide the exchange of difficult information, convey performance expectations and balance problems.
\n
\n+ Leadership skills to empower team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job field and department.
\n
\n+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
\n
\n+ Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mentality.
\n
\n+ Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

\nCBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Events Manager position is $100,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Events Manager position is $110,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
