The Physician Assistant at BronxCare Health System is responsible for managing and assisting the Orthopedic department in various areas including inpatient surgery, major joint replacement and spine, peri-operative care, surgical preparation, and outpatient evaluations. - Manages the Orthopaedic department component of discharge planning.
- Reviews all laboratories and imaging tests done as inpatient and outpatient as per departmental policy for the Major Case Service.
- Prepares all pre-surgical packets and chart reviews for upcoming surgery.
- Assists in surgery for the Orthopaedic Department
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- NYS Physician Assistant License
- Prior experience in either an outpatient Orthopedic setting or inpatient service, verified by a previous employer
