Staff Accountant

Description We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Carrollton, Texas. This role involves various accounting tasks, including invoice processing, cash transaction recognition, and improving the accuracy of financial coding. As a Staff Accountant, you will also play a significant role in automating our accounts payable function. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

- Manually key in every invoice into the Epicor v10 system

- Handle invoicing duties to ensure accurate and timely billing

- Recognize and document cash transactions to maintain accurate records

- Resolve any issues related to the accuracy of coding financial transactions

- Monitor and manage a high volume of transactions effectively

- Develop strategies to automate the accounts payable function

- Conduct regular checks on customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary

- Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to perform job functions efficiently. Requirements - Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations

- Experience with Bank Reconciliations

- Knowledge of General Ledger management

- Capability to perform Journal Entries

- Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

- Proficiency in using NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software

- A degree in Accounting or a relevant field

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information

- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Prior experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
