  • Inputting Athletic Core Curriculum Evaluations.
  • Assisting in the intake of AP & IB credit requests and ensuring AP credit is in students degree audit.
  • Processing University Seminar (US1100) waiver applications for incoming first-year students, ensuring all data is entered into the database and into students' degree audits.
  • Maintaining a database and coordinating communications to students regarding the status of their US1100 waiver application.
  • Assisting with students' documentation for Suspension Reinstatement Appeals and complete reinstatement documentation.
  • Assisting with students' documentation and drafting communication to faculty related to Administrative Withdrawal Requests.
  • Assisting during special events and meetings for faculty development workshops.
  • Assisting with University Seminar hiring paperwork and personnel files for faculty.
  • Monitoring office supplies and fulfilling request for University Seminar faculty.
  • Ensuring all First Call classrooms for University Seminar are in working order.
  • Supporting academic advising during New Student Orientation as directed, working with incoming first-year students to schedule appointments with an advisor, assisting with major change forms, registering for classes after students have been advised, and assisting with TSI exemptions and entry of scores into Banner.

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience processing college-level coursework for equivalency between higher education institutions.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with 25Live, Courseleaf, CLSS, Canvas, and other institutional systems.
  • Experience working with Banner, BDMS, DegreeWorks, and other institutional student information systems.
  • Experience providing professional and appropriate communication to a variety of constituents in multiple platforms (written, verbal, and in person).
  • Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of 25Live, Courseleaf, CLSS, Canvas, and other institutional systems.
  • Working knowledge of Banner, BDMS, DegreeWorks, and other institutional student information systems.
  • Knowledge of TES.
  • Navigate.
  • Reviewing complex coursework and other documentation.
  • Efficiently and accurately completing projects.
  • Using multiple institutional systems and software.
  • Providing physical assistance for in person events and office assistance when needed.
  • Teamwork, empathy, listening, flexibility, and positivity in both verbal and non-verbal communication.
  • Assisting students, faculty, and others with issues related to the job duties of this position.
  • Provide clear, concise written and verbal information.
  • Organize and prioritize work.
  • Resolve problems either independently or with guidance from a supervisor; knowledge of when to seek assistance in resolving a problem.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive records and files.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Three (3) years of experience providing administrative support in a professional office environment.
  • Previous experience working in higher education.
  • Fluent in conversational Spanish.
  • TES® Basic Certification.
  • Experience with Texas State systems and software, including LOGI, SLATE, SARS and Banner.
