Qualifications

Required

  • Commitment for onboarding and attending PD during last 2 weeks of August 2023
  • Bachelor's degree in education, special education, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Valid New York State teaching certification in SPED for grades 9-12
  • Relevant years of teaching experience, preferably in an urban setting
  • Understanding of Common Core State Standards and evidence-based instructional practices
  • Experience using data to inform instructional decisions and personalize learning for students
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion and a belief in the potential of all students

Renaissance Charter School 2 is a new charter high school in Elmhurst, NY. We are professional,

agile, innovative and our goal is to identify a passionate and experienced ICT Learning Specialist

(Special Education) teacher to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing

school and help shape our curriculum and instructional approach from the ground up.
