Responsibilities

  • Working on their own or with others performing preventative maintenance to equipment.
  • Evaluating equipment for further needed repairs and returning the equipment to service in a timely and safe manner.
  • Using power tools, diagnostic or hand tools or machining equipment to maintain or repair machinery.
  • Making minor or major electrical repairs to equipment while observing standard safety practices.
  • Performing other duties as directed, assigned or requested.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical or machinery repair and maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the proper use of power and hand tools.
  • Good working knowledge of the use of a lathe, milling machine, drill presses, etc.
  • Good working knowledge of electrical theory and circuits.
  • Ability to diagnose electrical problems.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to regularly repair mechanical equipment to OEM standards or to specifications set by the department manager.
  • Ability to read and write in English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
  • Must work in a safe and professional manner and communicate issues back to the department manager.
  • Must be able to work well with others as well as independently.

Preferred

  • Familiar with brands - Bobst, Komori, Heidelberg.

  • Maintaining, modifying and repairing mechanical equipment to prevent or reduce production delays while working in a safe and professional manner.
  • Working on their own or with others performing preventative maintenance to equipment and evaluating it for further needed repairs and returning the equipment to service in a timely and safe manner.
  • Using power tools, diagnostic or hand tools or machining equipment to maintain or repair machinery to safe working condition
  • Making minor or major electrical repairs to equipment while observing standard safety practices
  • Required to perform other duties as directed, assigned or requested

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of electrical or machinery repair and maintenance experience

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have a strong knowledge of the proper use power and hand tools with good working knowledge of the use of a lathe, milling machine, drill presses etc.
  • Must have good working knowledge of electrical theory and circuits and the ability to diagnose electrical problems.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach
  • Regularly required to use force to push, pull and lift up to 75 lbs
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Enviroment

  • Work performed in a shop environments
  • Exposed to hot and cold temperature
  • Regularly exposed to dust, odors, fumes and noise

Supervisory Responsibilities: Must be able to provide guidance to mechanics and PM staff when needed.
