Design Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual with design experience who is eager to grow in the industry. This role offers the chance to contribute to a high-profile, modern home project, working on everything from internal landscaping to art sourcing and furniture research.

The position is project-based, with potential for further opportunities depending on how the project progresses. You'll collaborate closely with the homeowner, who has a strong vision for the space and appreciates thoughtful, value-driven design decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Internal Landscaping: Supporting the design and placement of indoor greenery and natural elements.
• Design improvement solutions and implementation: Identify and implement improvements for design elements, including sourcing solutions when necessary, and ensuring seamless functionality and aesthetic alignment.
• Art Sourcing: Sourcing printable versions of high-end art to create mock-ups for visualizing layouts within the home and coordinating purchases once approved.
• Furniture Research: Offering recommendations for furniture, including cost-effective alternatives that align with the modern aesthetic of the home.
• Additional Design Projects: Contributing to various other design elements as needed to complete the home’s final look.
• Provide thoughtful input that aligns with the homeowner’s vision and sense of value.

About You:

• You have design experience, whether through formal training or hands-on projects, and are excited to take on a meaningful, creative role.
• Strong sense of modern decor and innovative design solutions.
• Comfortable working within the owners sense of value and identifying where quality investments are worth making.
• A proactive and self-driven team player.
• MUST be located in the Los Angeles, CA area

Salary: Project-based, with room for negotiation.
