Responsibilities
- Make and develop production tooling including stamping and forming dies, CNC machining fixtures, inspection gages, assembly tooling, and product test equipment.
- Make improvements to existing tooling.
- Build and troubleshoot various types of tools including stamping/forming dies, molds, fixtures, gages, and assembly tooling.
- Design and make your own small fixtures and jigs for machining operations.
- Utilize Lean and Continuous Improvement principles.
- Operate lathes, mills, grinders, saws, drill press etc.
- Use measuring instruments.
- Understand the 5s principles.
- Operate all standard Tool Room Equipment.
- Build and troubleshoot new tooling per design requirements.
Qualifications
Required
- Ability to build and troubleshoot various types of tools including stamping/forming dies, molds, fixtures, gages, and assembly tooling.
- Ability to use and apply shop mathematics including geometry, trigonometry, and algebra.
- Ability to design and make your own small fixtures and jigs for machining operations.
- Ability to utilize Lean and Continuous Improvement principles.
- Ability to operate lathes, mills, grinders, saws, drill press etc.
- Ability to use measuring instruments.
- Understanding of the 5s principles.
- Ability to operate all standard Tool Room Equipment.

Lincolnwood, IL
- Global Manufacturing Company - 100 years in business, NEVER laid off an hourly staff.
33-40 p/h – depending on experience and education.
- Basic - Experience Level 1-3 years
- Intermediate – Experience 5-10 years
- Advance – Experience 10-15 years
Shifts: 1st shift or 2nd shift
- 1st shift: M-F 6:30am - 2:30pm
- 2nd shift: M-F 2:30pm – 11:30pm
