The Sales Engineer at NESC Staffing is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with current and new customers, understanding client needs, and ensuring the successful implementation of products. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with current clients
  • Identify new business and work with engineers to develop orders
  • Create and maintain a database of client key contacts
  • Develop and maintain a strategic sales plan including goals for new business development and increased sales
  • Ensures goals are measurable and in alignment with product scope and company production capacity
  • Keeps informed of industry changes and trends, client needs, and new project developments
  • Keeps informed of competitor product lines and understands how to positively differentiate and position MED products against competitors
  • Follow up on quotes with clients and engineers
  • Solicit client feedback/satisfaction, and provide input regarding client comments, questions, or concerns about product lines
  • Work closely with other members within the organization to improve client relations during post sale functions such as design and fabrication
  • Analyze quotes and sales data and use results to identify trends, top clients, top products, client rejections, etc.
  • Prepare and conduct product presentations for specific companies as well as trade shows and industry conferences
  • Assists in the planning of sales exhibits
  • Attends conferences and trades shows to maintain MED position in the market and generate new client interest
  • Create and/or update marketing collateral and use lead lists for mass mail purposes
  • Properly use and protect use of the MED approved logo
  • Perform all duties in alignment with the MED assigned budget

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • General understanding of manufacturing and the terminology used
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work in a high-pace manufacturing environment
  • Ability to multi-task by sharing workspace with interruption from others
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time including auto and air
  • Uphold Mueller Environmental Designs Core Values

Preferred

  • Experience within the oil and gas sector

The role involves understanding client needs, solutions and ensuring the successful implementation of our products. KAM will work closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional products and service. This position requires a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills and a good understanding of market trends within the oil and gas sector.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Has a general understanding of manufacturing and the terminology used
  • Prefer experience within the oil and gas sector
  • Team focused and the ability to decipher large amounts of knowledge and condense into reportable and understandable outcomes

Physical Requirements and other items to communicate:


The ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Work in a high-pace manufacturing environment. Can multi-task by sharing workspace with interruption from others. Travel up to 50% of the time including auto and air. Driving may at times require pulling a trailer of demo equipment. Overtime may be required at times to meet a tight deadline or accommodate client needs.
