  • Support manufacturing shop floor improvements at all sites
  • Teach pillar fundamental classes.
  • Assist in prioritizing improvement plans to meet company goals, including long-term forecasting/impact with all stakeholders.
  • Perform actual line-side time study analysis.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred
  • Prefer manufacturing experience
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, partners, or employees
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs
  • Ability to solve complex problems, scenarios, or situations, navigation a variety of concrete or fluid variables in situations where concrete or limited standardization exist
  • Ability to review data, identifying gaps and trends

Preferred

  • Toyota Production System background preferred or Six Sigma certification

Summary

Support company efficiency improvement projects intended to optimize production performance including but not limited to operational improvement processes, waste reductions, and problem-solving methods. Focus will be on continuous improvement processes using identified metrics that support safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction initiatives.

Team members in this role will analyze current processes as well as research and analyze technical data to identify process inefficiencies and determine potential solutions and/or improvement opportunity areas. Team members will also report on improvement suggestions and assist with implementation and training on approved improvement solutions.
