Prestigious electronics manufacturing company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with Product Management experience. - Work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
- Use CAD platforms to model complex parts.
- Participate in design reviews, providing comments and recommendations on mechanical engineering designs.
- Mockup and test basic mechanical systems to verify compliance with design requirements.
- Interface with Electrical Engineers, Industrial Designers, Sales, Production and Suppliers to negotiate basic tradeoffs between manufacturing, appearance, and performance.
- Make estimates on tooling, part cost and design time for basic mechanical designs.
- Specify test plans to validate moderately complex systems.
- Provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using creativity and sound problem solving techniques.
Qualifications
Required
- 2- years of mechanical engineer experience and modeling proficiency. Prefer SolidWorks, but Inventor, Creo are a plus
- 2-5 years of product management and engineering experience
Preferred
- FEA Analysis and experience working with ID and design consultancy

Product management duties include product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle. This may include gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Mechanical engineer functions include:
- Expertise in using CAD platforms to model complex parts
- Collaborate and add value through participation in design reviews, providing comments and recommendations on mechanical engineering designs
- Mockup, test basic mechanical systems to verify compliance with design requirements
- Interface with Electrical Engineers, Industrial Designers, Sales, Production and Suppliers to negotiate basic tradeoffs between manufacturing, appearance, and performance
- Make estimates on tooling, part cost and design time for basic mechanical designs
- Specify test plans to validate moderately complex systems
- Knowledge of injection molding, die casting, sheet metal stamping, machining processes
- Provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using creativity and sound problem solving techniques
Product management functions include:
- Define the product strategy and roadmap
- Execute Product Requirements documents “PRD” with prioritized features and corresponding justification
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
- Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
- Be an expert with respect to the competition
- Act as a leader within the company, with strong collaboration within all internal teams
Requirements:
