Responsibilities

  • Order and install replacement parts when necessary to keep industrial equipment functioning in top condition
  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
  • Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
  • Use precision measuring and testing instruments
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices
  • Use hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools
  • Examine form and texture of parts
  • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience
  • Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems
  • Capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools
  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Preferred

  • Experience with Food Processing equipment

Title: Lead Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Reading, PA

Salary: $35-38/HR


2nd shift role: 3pm-11:30 but must be open to covering 1st and 2nd shifts if needed


Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience required

• Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics

• Basic understanding of electrical systems

• Capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools

• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

• Experience with Food Processing equipment a plus but not required
