Responsibilities

  • Provide high level of direct and individualized care

  • Participate in a varied medical/telemetry population including sepsis, chest pain, patients requiring isolation or admission to negative airflow rooms, and more
  • Support diagnostic procedures such as thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath, pacemaker insertions, and chest tubes
  • Perform nasogastric insertion and maintenance
  • Insert and maintain enteral feeding tubes
  • Provide care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring due to chest pain or arrhythmias
  • Manage GI abnormalities
  • Perform trach care, CBI, IV Therapy

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an Accredited Program
  • Specialized field of study should be nursing
  • A current and valid nursing license
  • Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role

We have a varied medical/telemetry population including:
· Sepsis
· Chest Pain
· Patients requiring isolation or admission to negative airflow rooms
· Patients requiring skin and wound care- DHFT, PEGs, Wound Vacs
· Diagnostic procedures including thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath, pacemaker insertions and chest tubes.
· Nasogastric Insertion and Maintenance
· Enteral Feeding Tube Insertion and Maintenance
· Patients requiring cardiac monitoring due to chest pain or arrhythmias
· Patients with GI abnormalities
· Trach care, CBI, IV Therapy
