Responsibilities
- Collects specimens on all age populations as assigned with minimal patient impact.
- Responsible for the processing and allocation of laboratory specimens and orders from all sources.
- Verifies proper patient and specimen identification and appropriateness of specimen and accompanying orders.
- Organizes laboratory workflow and prioritizes processing and distribution of specimens.
- Utilizes requisite equipment, instruments, and computer systems to test request, accession correctly, label, and deliver specimens to appropriate laboratory sections within acceptable time frames.
- Performs specified procedures within scope of established testing methods and responsibilities.
- Performs and appropriately documents routine maintenance and quality control procedures on specified equipment.
- Troubleshoots as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- 1 year of clinical experience or equivalent education (e.g., Phlebotomist).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
- Graduate phlebotomy program.

Organizes laboratory workflow and appropriately prioritizes processing and distribution of specimens. Utilizes requisite equipment instruments and computer systems to test request accession correctly label and deliver specimens to appropriate laboratory sections within acceptable time frames. Performs specified procedures within scope of established testing methods and responsibilities. Performs and appropriately documents routine maintenance and quality control procedures on specified equipment and troubleshoots as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
1 Year Clinical - Phlebotomist Required - Or Equivalent Education Requirement
Education Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required - And Graduate Phlebotomy Preferred
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Phlebotomy Preferred

10p-8a
Weekend Requirements:
Every Other
Call Requirements:
2 or 3 weekends per year
