The City of Virginia Beach Department of Human Services is seeking to hire a
Clerk who has front office experience in a clinic setting with clerical / secretarial skills for the Adult Outpatient program.
Duties: - Perform daily various front office duties involving serving clients at front reception area.
- Schedule and reschedule client appointments.
- Answer a high volume of telephone calls in a timely, courteous manner and direct the calls appropriately.
- Greet and register clients for appointments.
- Collect client fees to include posting payments into the electronic health record and providing electronic receipts.
- Reconcile all payments at end of day and lock into safe.
- Generate the Cash Drawer Batch Pre-close Control Report every three days or at any time receipts total $200.00.
- Entry of clinician's schedules into scheduling module and enter schedule changes.
- Look up client balances.
- Provide information to consumers who make telephone contact.
- Assure that all submission of information into data systems are done accurately and within the timeframe required.
