Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years experience in a technical sales support or technical customer service role for an industrial equipment manufacturer
  • Operations, Engineering, or Manufacturing degree OR a strong technical background with relevant product support experience
  • Comfortable interacting with customers and responding to their questions
  • Ability to multi-task with a strong focus on customer service
  • Experience working in an ERP system and Microsoft productivity software tools
  • Ability to learn and master various software programs: Sage 100, Monday.com

Full Job Description

Our manufacturing company, Bluco, is seeking to hire the position of Sales Operations Lead, that will be an invaluable contributor to the success of daily operations. We are on the lookout for someone who can excel at being the bridge between our Sales team and our customers, possessing solid technical proficiency to be able to communicate effectively. This person will play a key role managing logistics, overseeing inventory and developing efficient processes for the order process.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Processing

The Sales Operations Lead will be challenged with complex decisions to help facilitate the planning and fulfillment of our customer orders. The right candidate will gain a deep understanding of our existing processes by handling our customer orders, responding to quote requests, communicating inventory availability and entering the orders in Sage. Our Lead will be the front-line service for our customers, answering technical questions and providing product information and sales support. This hands-on experience will help gain the knowledge to understand and enhance the current procedures and identify areas for improvement.

Logistics Management

This role will oversee logistics operations, coordinating with S/R, tracking shipments and resolving any issues related to the delivery. The Lead will be the liaison between sales and our customers communicating all status updates related to the delivery. This position will anticipate delays with an awareness of inventory in stock and expected restocking dates.

Inventory Management

This position will guide the inventory control processes to ensure availability for new orders and address any issues that arise. The Sales Operations Lead will coordinate with other departments to perform regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and recorded inventory. The ideal candidate will be able assess and improve inventory management processes to enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ yrs experience working in a technical sales support or technical customer service role, specifically for a manufacturer of industrial equipment
  • Operations, Engineering or Manufacturing degree OR a proven strong technical background, with relevant product support experience
  • Comfortable interacting with our customers and be able to respond to their questions about our services
  • Ability to multi-task with a strong focus on customer service. You should be able to easily recall numerous "guidelines" and respond promptly to both your team and customers
  • Must have experience working in an ERP system and using Microsoft (or equivalent) productivity software tools
  • Ability to learn and master various software programs used - Sage 100, Monday.com
