Full Job Description

We are seeking a C-Store Assistant Manager who will oversee daily operations, ensuring that both the team and the store perform at their best. In this role, you will handle various tasks such as cashiering, customer service, and maintaining store cleanliness. You will also support specific functions related to HR, sales and marketing, or operations.

Your primary duties will include providing excellent customer service, managing transactions, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. Additionally, you will assist customers with self-service kiosks, handle customer complaints, and promote loyalty programs and sales. You will also manage stock levels, ensure correct pricing, and provide recommendations based on customer needs.

As part of your leadership responsibilities, you will be involved in hiring, training, and coaching staff, as well as managing store communication and scheduling. You will work closely with the HR team and main office, focusing on customer relations and ensuring that food safety standards are met.

From an operations perspective, you will ensure the store's cleanliness and organization, conduct inspections, manage inventory and cash control, and oversee gas pricing and sales reporting. In sales and marketing, you will manage product placement, vendor relationships, and store performance against sales goals.

The ideal candidate will have retail experience, preferably with training experience, and should be able to manage and support a team effectively. Strong communication skills, a focus on customer and employee satisfaction, and the ability to adapt to business needs are essential. A good driving record is required if you will be driving for the store.

This role requires the ability to work in various environmental conditions and involves physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and handling different weights. You must be comfortable working in both hot and cold environments, as well as dealing with potential hazards like noise, dust, and moving mechanical parts.
