Qualifications

Required

  • Understanding of principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, data analytics, and policies related to specialized expertise.
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills.
  • Outstanding written and oral communications.
  • Subject matter expertise in financial accounting, professional internal auditing standards, and healthcare internal audit.
  • Experienced leading successful internal audit programs.
  • Proven track record of pragmatism, sound judgement, and balanced risk management.
  • Broad understanding of modern information technology systems and cybersecurity.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in a related field.

Summary:

As the Project Management Director for the NC Children's Hospital Project, this role will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of pediatric healthcare in the region. This role will be responsible for collaborating with the VP Project Management, NC Children's on the strategic planning, design, and execution of this ambitious project, ensuring its alignment with the overall mission and vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Children's Hospital Project Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive project management plan that aligns with the overarching NC Children's Hospital project goals. Foster a collaborative environment and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure the project remains on track and within budget by effectively managing resources, timelines, and risks. Oversee all phases of the project, including planning, design, construction, and implementation. Monitor project progress, identify potential challenges, and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance, Compliance, and Financial Management: Assist in the development and maintenance of the project budget, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis to inform decision-making. Establish and maintain quality control standards to ensure the project meets or exceeds expectations. Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify and address quality issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, community leaders, and funding partners. Communicate effectively and proactively to keep stakeholders informed about project progress and address their concerns.
