The Process Engineer at iLABS will support the Operations team in executing manufacturing and filling of pilots, transferring learnings seamlessly to Operations and Quality, and supporting first production along with troubleshooting scale-up issues. Responsibilities

  • Work with R&D Chemist in transmitting lab scale manufacturing procedure to full scale production manufacturing procedure.
  • Author and revise final manufacturing instructions in recognized electronic format for ease of execution.
  • Assess feasibility of new projects based on R&D and Packaging input.
  • Independently plan and execute pilot batches and filling line trials.
  • Transition learnings to manufacturing and operations.
  • Actively seek out process improvements in scale-up by working synergistically between all departments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing and filling issues.
  • Support quality investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Author Rationales, Justifications, Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs), SOPs and manufacturing / filling procedures.
  • Train individuals on the safe and effective use of materials, processing equipment and application of cGMP.
  • Assess safety and manufacturing feasibility of innovative products and formulations.
  • Evaluate packaging for feasibility of filling and work with engineering on development of tooling.
  • Creation of range boards and finished goods specifications in collaboration with Quality.
  • Create and maintain tracking tools for progression of projects in collaboration with all areas, including project management.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Package, Chemical).
  • 0 - 5 years in a cGMP environment.
  • 3+ years' experience in pilot lab, bulk lab or related process development in skin care industry.
  • Hands-on mentality and are a clear and assertive communicator.
  • Able to handle multiple projects and prioritize duties.
  • Proficient in writing technical documents.
  • Ability to explain technical details in simple terms that non-technical individuals can understand.

Job Summary
