The Purchasing Manager at One Source Manufacturing Technology is responsible for managing the supply chain, including supplier selection, onboarding, qualification, and management activities. Responsibilities

  • Manage supply chain for related selection, on-boarding, qualification, and supplier management activities.
  • Strategically identify and develop suppliers with capabilities to support new product introductions for raw materials, supplies, outside services, and logistics.
  • Evaluate and maintain supplier qualification criteria through supplier assessment tools.
  • Prepares or assists Estimating department with supplier requests for quotes for existing and new products.
  • Develop strategic suppliers with necessary capabilities and capacities to support business growth opportunities.
  • Facilitate QMS audit responsibilities in regards for Procurement and Supply Chain management
  • Manage all Procurement activities for requisitions, purchase orders, and logistics.
  • Competitively bid and negotiate long term parts/supply pricing for new projects, NPI and released production
  • Create and maintain a master purchasing schedule using MRP driven from production demand schedules.
  • Establish robust inventory and stocking levels of materials and supplies used on a regular basis.
  • Participates in NPI/Production Meetings to provide proactive sourcing updates for scheduling.
  • Identifies inefficient processes to propose and implement continuous improvement solutions.
  • Responsible for supplier performance metrics and corrective actions.
  • Oversees shipping and receiving areas.

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to solve complex problems
  • Technical skills used to interpret engineering specifications and requirements
  • Strong experience working in machining manufacturing environment
  • Broad experience with supplier selection and approval; contract negotiations; supplier relationship management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain business partner relationships across all levels both within and outside of the organization

Description

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copier/scanner, and filing cabinets. This role will need to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Minimal travel is expected.
