We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Officer to join our well-established remote lending team. Responsibilities

  • Manage Inbound Leads: Efficiently handle and convert live inbound leads to grow your client base.
  • Rate Shopping and Negotiation: Shop for competitive mortgage rates and negotiate terms with various lenders to find the ideal mortgage lender for each applicant.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain referral relationships with real estate professionals and strong connections with mortgage lenders and mortgage bankers.
  • Stay Informed: Keep current lending rate sheets updated and stay informed about the latest mortgage industry trends.
  • Application Submission: Submit application files to lenders on behalf of homeowners, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Process Coordination: Interface with mortgage professionals such as processors, AE's, and realtors.
  • Client Education: Educate clients on various loan products, funding sources, the buying or refinancing process, and lending guidelines to empower them to make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with the real estate agent, lender's underwriting department, other mortgage professionals, and closing agent to ensure a smooth transaction
  • Research competitive mortgage rates and interest rates, and negotiate terms to find ideal mortgage product and lender for potential borrowers

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in real estate law, banking, finance, business administration, or economics
  • Up to date NMLS licensure or National Association of Mortgage Broker license or certification is required
  • Knowledge of loan process from origination to close and various loan products is needed
  • Comfortable with loan origination software and MS office
  • Superior time management, communication and analysis skills and independently resourceful
