The Payroll Administrator at The Niello Company is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely deductions for voluntary cost sharing, reconciling and maintaining payment records for employee benefits, interpreting and analyzing benefit accounts, resolving issues related to employee benefits, managing enrollment for medical, dental, vision, and voluntary benefits, and participating in audits and training for payroll functions. Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate & timely deduction of voluntary cost sharing deductions
  • Prepare, reconcile, maintain accurate payment records for all employee related benefits carriers
  • Interpret and analyze benefit specific accounts as necessary
  • Capably resolve issues arising directly related to employee benefits - including Cobra
  • Manages all stages of enrollment for medical, dental, vision & voluntary benefits- including Cobra
  • Participate in ongoing auditing of all benefits, hiring and termination records
  • Understand California break premium rules
  • Assist payroll admins review/audit timecards as needed
  • Assist payroll & managers with statistical reports for timekeeping, employee pay, commission and bonuses, vacation, sick, and overtime- as needed
  • Follow all dealership payroll policies and procedures according to Employee Handbook and other pronouncements
  • Assist payroll admins with worksheets necessary for pre/post payroll processing- as needed
  • Adds all new hires within Kronos, electronically assigning/approving/saving all new hire related documents
  • Tracks and electronically stores all termination paperwork within Kronos
  • Maintain communication with payroll manager, payroll admins, office managers, HR, and controller on all benefit related issues
  • Participate in ongoing training for all payroll functions pertaining to current payroll software, benefits enrollments/terminations

  • Participate in ongoing auditing of all benefits, hiring and termination records

Compensation Range by Position:

The expected pay for this position is $19.00 per hour to $21.00 per hour and may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonuses or commissions.
