The General Sales Manager at Jack Giambalvo Family of Dealerships is responsible for ensuring the dealership meets its new- and used vehicle standards for gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction.   • Desking of Sales deals and obtaining financing for customers in accordance dealership guidelines.
  • Perform duties as back up Finance and Insurance Manager duties as needed.
  • Recommend to the General Manager procedures for short- and long-range advertising, sales promotions, staffing needs, lease promotions, compensation plans, customer complaints, salespersons' evaluations, and car rentals.
  • Assist with hiring and training sales people
  • Coach sales people on best practices for closing more deals and provide guidance to improve performance.
  • Meet with each salesperson as early as possible every day to review yesterday's results and today's plan of action.
  • Forecast monthly with each salesperson to establish objectives in terms of the number and type of customers coming into the dealership, closing percentages in each category, time utilization, prospecting efforts, unit sales, and projected income.
  • Perform the CRM Daily Management Responsibilities
  • Ensure that Sales Consultants are performing the CRM Daily Routines

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of automotive sales experience.
  • One year in a dealership management position preferred.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent managerial skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The General Sales Manager works both indoors and out, moving about the dealership facility and lot to communicate with the dealer, managers, salespeople, and customers. Weekend, evening, and holiday hours will be required.
