Qualifications

Required

  • 15+ years of sales experience
  • Experience in enterprise-level sales and complex deal structures including long term revenue share agreements.
  • Demonstrated partnership development success/track record of developing complex relationships from the earliest stages through to contract
  • Excellent internal and external communication skills both verbal and written with great interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Enthusiasm for independent work as part of an ever-changing, dynamic team
  • A willingness to find the answers that may not be obvious
  • Proven track record of project managing complex sales processes
  • Terminal degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience developing relationships with C-level executives or highly ranked administrators

Summary of Job:

2U/edX partners with elite postsecondary institutions and corporations globally to deliver the world's best digital education through degree programs, executive education, technical bootcamps and various open programs. To achieve those partnerships, this position is responsible for establishing, cultivating, and expanding relationships into new organizations and existing partnerships resulting in new contracts. In this role, the successful applicant will own all aspects of the sales process, from pipeline generation, nurturing, contracting, and signature.

Key Role and Responsibilities:
  1. Cross Product Pipeline Management: Implement partnership development strategies to drive revenue growth across new and existing 2U/edX partners as assigned.
  2. Sales Process Management: Autonomously move new programs through an efficient sales process utilizing our CRM solution.
  3. Relationship Management: Develop and build strong relationships with 2U/edX internal teams in service of targeting the right opportunities.
  4. Contract Management: Socialize all major deal points through the sales process ensuring the organization is aware of all key contract points at time of negotiation. Actively manage the internal contract process with our 2U/edX General Counsel office.
  5. Market synthesis: Provide discipline specific market insights that add value to partner conversations. Have an informed opinion about online and hybrid digital education as well as higher education; be a thought-leader both internally and externally.

Education and Experience:

This should be the minimum requirements needed to complete the job. Nice to haves can be included as well but indicated with (preferred).

Working Conditions

This role typically works 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM with breaks throughout the day. Regular travel (up to 50%) expected when permitted and dependent on potential partnership opportunities.

Physical Requirements

This role will be sedentary using a computer, keyboard, and telephone to perform most duties while not traveling.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is ($150,000 -$165,000), with potential bonus eligibility. Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, budget for the position and cost of labor in the market in which the candidate will be hired.
