  • Manage inventory accounting processes, including monitoring of E&O inventory and related reserve calculations.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce operating expenses and improve gross margins.
  • Provide strategic insights and analysis to support decision-making and drive profitable growth.
  • Lead financial audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and challenges.
  • Act as a key business partner to the executive leadership, providing financial insights to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, US GAAP, and corporate reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent understanding of financial reporting, budget management, and forecasting.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage an accounting team effectively.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) with the ability to serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change quickly.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a manufacturing company with $25M+ in revenue.
  • Familiarity with Infor ERP systems specific to manufacturing.

Middleby Coffee Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our dynamic manufacturing company. As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations and driving strategic financial decisions in collaboration with the leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cost accounting, creation and management of internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and corporate financial reporting to a US publicly traded company.

To succeed as a Financial Controller, you must be motivated, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities. You will oversee accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, budget adherence, and financial controls that drive profitability. Leading and managing a team, you will foster a culture of accountability and development. A deep understanding of financial reporting standards (GAAP and IFRS), financial planning, and audit management is essential. You'll collaborate with various departments to provide insights, develop budgets, and improve financial processes. Additionally, you'll lead capital investment analysis, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations to support business growth.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift-up to 15 pounds at times.
