The successful candidate will be hardworking, possess a positive attitude, and have the willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Duties will include selling, servicing, and growing existing customers, taking orders, following up on quotes, dropping off material/samples, expanding the customer base by converting prospects to customers, ordering materials and more.
Responsibilities
- Maximize sales potential with current customer base
- Aggressively prospect to build new business relationships
- Problem solve, provide ongoing support and explore opportunities with new and existing clients
- Consistent face-to-face interaction with flooring vendors, customers, builders and architects
- Provide excellent customer service to clients
- Track and report on sales milestones & budgets
- Present and close on proposals for projects
- Assist customers/potential clients by providing product knowledge and present product best suited for their application
- Process/track material orders for projects
- Utilize all marketing tools such as catalogs, brochures, and vendor collateral to broaden reach in territory and promote company product
- Provide Quarterly/ Annual reports to leadership team, to help in strategic business planning
Compensation
- Commensurate with experience
- Base salary plus commission
Requirements
- Flooring experience preferred, but not required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft word, excel & PowerPoint
- High level of motivation, professionalism, and organizational skills
