Nature's Path is seeking a Quality Supervisor for Days to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the SQF system, ensure product quality standards, conduct plant audits, and provide training on GMP/HACCP. Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF system - Food Safety and Quality Assurance Programs.
  • Ensure all products are organoleptically and microbiologically sampled in accordance with company specifications.
  • Conduct monthly plant audits of established systems.
  • Ensure plant compliance with established sanitation regulations.
  • Assist in validating changes to Food Safety Fundamentals, Food Safety Plans, and Food Quality Plans that have an impact to deliver safe, quality food.
  • Providing GMP/HACCP training and corrections to all employees.
  • Maintain plant environmental testing program, implement, and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Shared responsibility on the development and incorporation of new and existing technologies, including calibrations, testing, validations, data analysis, monitoring, procedure development, and training.
  • Update and/or develop documentation such as SOPs and SSOPs.
  • Development and maintain QA initiatives.
  • Supervise and evaluate QA Technicians through performance reviews, ongoing coaching, and feedback.
  • Supervise and evaluate Sanitation Technicians through performance reviews, ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Responsible for managing, directing, and scheduling of QA and Sanitation personnel.
  • Manage and supervise Quality Control and Sanitation Technicians daily activities and issues corrective actions.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related degree; and/or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 5 years of food quality experience.
  • 2-3 years of direct supervisory experience preferred.
  • HACCP, PCQI, SQF practitioner certification preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude for assisting in implementing new test methods, processes and equipment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and QA programs, such as HACCP, GMP, sanitation, allergens, and preventive controls.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Manufacturing safety leadership experiences.
