Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and optimize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
  • Develop robust, scalable back-end solutions to support eCommerce functionalities using Shopify APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality eCommerce solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on the team.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, bugs, and other technical challenges on Shopify sites.
  • Use CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment process, with support from senior engineers as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Previous experience working on eCommerce features and/or products.
  • Familiarity with modern development tools and practices, such as Git and Agile methodologies.

Preferred

  • Strong skills with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Shopify Liquid, and modern front-end frameworks such as React or Next.js.
  • Demonstrated success using back-end technologies and frameworks such as Node.js or Ruby on Rails, with a working knowledge of RESTful APIs.
  • Prior experience with CI/CD system integrations, deployment pipelines, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented with excellent communication skills.

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Engineer to join Stanley's digital technology team. In this role, you will develop features for our global eCommerce sites. Our eCommerce business is growing quickly and you will have a crucial role in delivering a high-performance, secure shopping experience that delivers on Stanley's brand promise to our end consumers.

What You'll Do

Salary range:

$120,000-$140,000

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience. Stanley is a total rewards company, which includes rewards beyond base salary. At Stanley, full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus, based on company and individual results.
