Job DescriptionOur interns will experience on-the-job training in client services, operations, global marketing, or new business development, are embedded with one or more of our five North American office teams, and are involved in a wide variety of activities. Interns are treated as professional staff, participate in team meetings and actively contribute ideas, and support the overall management and growth of client work and the firm.
APCO is hiring rising seniors and recent graduates to join our full-time, 6-month paid internship program.
This internship can sit at APCO's New York,
Washington DC or Raleigh office. APCO's clients include local, national and global organizations in the technology, trade, food and beverage, and healthcare sectors.
Responsibilities: - Work within the North America Operations team supporting Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Resource Management and Business Management teams
- Run reports out of our financial system to provide key information to client teams
- Input staffing plans into our financial system
- Assign resources based on level and skillset to client account projects in our professional services automation (PSA) software system
- Support on tracking and assigning staffing deliverables
- Recap meetings and circulate notes
- Create first-draft analysis of financial data on client accounts
- Create charts and graphs based on data analysis
- Provide strategic insights related to employee engagement, talent & retention
Qualifications: - An interest in communications, media, advertising, journalism or political science related industries
- Comfort in a fast-paced environment collaborating with a team
- Excellent data analysis and project management skills
- Entrepreneurial with strong critical thinking abilities
- Organized and attentive to detail
- Able to multi-task and approach assignments independently
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite; particularly Excel
- Available to work 40 hours per week
- Requires US Work Authorization, unable to consider candidates with OPT/Post-OPT status
What are the core working hours and will I need to be in an office? Our interns work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
We are committed to a hybrid and flexible working environment, and there may be days that you wish to work from home and days that we come together so that you get to explore more of our culture and meet other colleagues. You will be provided with a company laptop so that you are able to work from home and in the office easily.
Compensation This is a paid internship at a fixed hourly rate of $17.50.

When does the internship commence? Our intern program begins on Monday, January 13th and ends on Friday, May 16th 2025.
