MRIGlobal is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead business development efforts in disease diagnostics development services. Responsibilities

  • Shape and execute annual business development strategy and long-range planning
  • Cultivate new and maintain existing customer and partner relationships that drive new business growth
  • Actively identify, qualify, position for, capture, communicate and pursue commercial opportunities and strategies to build and manage a robust pipeline of pursuits
  • Research, assess, communicate new and emerging trends that impact the business
  • Successfully partner with technical team members to develop and support customer engagement, opportunity assessment, bid/no bid decisions, storyboard and win theme development, application of market and competitor intel, and proposal development
  • Represent MRIGlobal at conferences, industry days, customer and partner meetings

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 15 years of related business development experience in diagnostics or related industries
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant science or business field. Masters preferred
  • Strong relationships in and understanding of the diagnostics and biotech industries, including key decision makers, procurement processes, budgets, strategies, partner community
  • Proven success originating, developing, and submitting competitive proposals in the commercial biotech market
  • Experience analyzing and understanding market drivers, technologies, and customer's mission requirements
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM, MS Office, and standard business tools
  • Travel up to 50%

Preferred

  • Effective communication skills and a demonstrated ability to partner with researchers to prepare and present compelling customer briefings, white papers, and other material
  • Proactive workstyle with the ability to develop strategies, plans, and get ahead of opportunities and customer capability gaps and requirements

Business Development Director, Disease Diagnostics

MRIGlobal's Commercial Business Development (CBD) team provides full-service business development support to identify, qualify, and capture new business opportunities aligned with our multi-disciplinary capabilities. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative professional to lead business development in support of MRIGlobal's disease diagnostics development services. The position will be based remote (with preference to the following metro areas: San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego, Boston, Austin) and will report to the Vice President of Commercial Business Development.

This position requires an individual with a talent for building and maintaining customer relationships within the diagnostics development field, who thrives in advanced technical environments, and can broker and win new business across a variety of client organizations. The position will directly support MRIGlobal's Integrated Health Surveillance and Diagnostics Business Unit but will be responsible for understanding and leveraging capabilities from across the organization to generate cross-functional programs.
