Required

  • 15+ years experience in systems and network operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field desired
  • MCA Microsoft Azure Administrator and ITIL v4 Foundations certified
  • Must hold the following certifications or be able to obtain within six months of start date: Nutanix Certified Associate (NCA) and VMWare Certified Implementation Expert (VCIX)
  • Extensive experience with Nutanix, VMWare, and Windows
  • Experience in operations and administration; monitoring operations; job scheduling and execution; transaction and batch processing; electronic data exchange management; system administration; storage and data management; remote access services; database administration; middleware administration; collaborative computing administration; and special projects.
  • Able to respond to data center problems resulting from catastrophic events, incident response and power outages and assist with the execution of the disaster recovery plan when a business or IT operations disruption occurs.
  • Experience in managing staff to support daily operational tasks, projects/activities to ensure they are delivered on schedule and to meet the customer’s requirements.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to present information to both a technical and non-technical audience.
  • Maintain expert knowledge on all technologies and applications supporting data center operations.
  • Maintain effective professional relationships with all levels of an organization.
  • Must be a US citizen.

OverviewAbacus Technology is seeking a Data Center Lead to oversee the daily operations and maintenance for the US Mint. This is a full-time position.ResponsibilitiesLead the design, configuration, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of data center hardware and software including Nutanix Hypervisor, VMWare, Windows servers, patching, and Veritas NetBackup systems.Lead disaster recovery and support annual exercises for each of the primary and recovery.Support FISMA auditing.Qualifications15+ years experience in systems and network operations.
