Full Job Description

The HRS project requires a professional PM who, with input from the Project Sponsor and Business Owner and the Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) SMEs, will develop a project plan, manage project deliverables and tasks, communicate project status, manage risks, and escalate issues to Project Sponsor as necessary (or if needed The Steering Committee or Executive Sponsor if it puts Workday or HRS at risk).

The PM will monitor and document the HRS project budget, time allocations, the schedule and contracted scope, as well as document variations to any of these. As the project runs concurrently with the Workday project, he/she/they will be the primary liaison with Huron s PM on project milestones, budget, risks, scope etc. but not Huron s direct work with SMEs or decisions made on implementation (unless of course it impacts the project parameters).

This HRS PM will be responsible for aligning the HRS project with the Workday project. Ideally a full-time resource to be assigned 50% to HRS as PM and 50% as determined by the CIO to help PM on other aspects of the ERP project. Once the role and responsibilities are set, neither IT nor OSP can significantly change those without consulting the Steering Committee.

The PM needs to be supported and feel empowered to do their role properly as a steward of the project and its desired outcomes. This PM is ultimately accountable to the Steering Committee, with a smaller set of stakeholders such as the Project Sponsor, the PH Executive Sponsor and CIO evaluating their performance, which is tied to the success of the project plan. When working on HRS, the PM s day to day activities are driven by the executing on the project plan, with oversight provided by the Project Sponsor/Business Owner.
