The Retail Business Development Manager at Disney Experiences is responsible for creating growth and value for the Domestic Parks/Disney Signature Experiences merchandise line of business through business analysis, identifying new opportunities, capital planning, project management, and initiative/project development and management. Responsibilities

  • Partner to craft the Merchandise Long-Term Capital Plan (LTCP) and Annual Capital Plan (ACP).
  • Maintain the Merchandise LTCP for Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, and DSE LTCP and ACP in partnership with Sites and Finance.
  • Work with key partners to analyze capital retail projects and guide supportable projects to approval.
  • Work with partners to see approved projects through all stages to opening while partnering to ensure that projects stay on track and issues are optimally addressed.
  • Support planning and business case development for MGOI projects.
  • Analyze business opportunities and issues as assigned.
  • Review domestic business performance to identify opportunities.
  • Develop presentations to communicate on projects.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of proven experience in retail roles, financial analysis and/or strategy development.
  • Proven creativity in identifying business opportunities and addressing issues.
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills with a proven ability to influence partners and key business decisions.
  • Professional written skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter with natural curiosity and the ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Ability to work within a complex, matrix organization and find creative solutions.
  • Excel experience with formulas and pivot table experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, mathematics, or other quantitative fields.

The Parks Retail Business Development team is focused on creating growth and value for the Domestic Parks/Disney Signature Experiences (DSE) merchandise line of business through business analysis, the identification of new opportunities in support of business strategies, capital planning, capital project management, and initiative/project development and management.The position will report to the Senior Manager, Retail Business Development. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
