As an Infusion Coordinator RN at Duke University Health System, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team to provide seamless care in the home for patients being discharged with infusion needs.   • Adhere to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
  • Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Qualifications

Required

  • Previous work experience of 2 years as a clinical nurse is preferred.
  • At least one-year of previous work experience as a registered nurse is required for a CSN II role.
  • Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required.
  • Current registration with North Carolina State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse.
  • Current compact RN licensure to practice in the state of North Carolina or current compact license with participating state required.
  • BLS (or higher) certification required.

Preferred

  • Encouraged to enroll in a DUHS approved BSN program after completing two years of service from the start date.

About Duke HomeCare & Hospice

Pursue your passion for caring with Duke HomeCare & Hospice, which offers hospice, home health, and infusion services across the region, as well as serves as the home forthe Duke Caregiver Support Program. Team members work closely with a patient's physician to provide comprehensive, individualized care in the comfort of their home or at our inpatient hospice facility in Durham, NC.

The Duke HomeCare and Hospice program serves 9 counties and a 60-mile radius, and our Home Infusion Program offers multi-state coverage (NC, SC, VA). Our team is active in delivering exemplary care for each patient to ensure an excellent patient experience every time.

Shift: Monday-Friday: with rotating shifts of 8:30 AM-5:00 PM and 9:30 AM-6:00 PM and occasional weekend coverage

Job Summary:

  • As an Infusion Coordinator with Duke University Health System, you will make providing service your priority.
  • The Infusion Coordinator RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in order organize seamless care in the home for those patients being discharged from the hospital with infusion needs.
  • Utilizing the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department.
  • Plan and provide advanced and/or specialized nursing care for patients in guided by DUHS Professional Practice model participate in the clinical ladder program, educational activities, departmental committees, research projects or other health related projects as assigned.
  • Provide nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Adheres to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
  • Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience Required:

  • Previous work experience of 2 yrs + as a clinical nurse is preferred; at least one-year of previous work experience as a registered nurse is required for a CSN II role.
