Poly-Tek is seeking a Sales Engineer to oversee and lead the company's sales efforts within the Agriculture, Construction & Recycling industries. This role involves building new customer relationships, growing existing accounts, handling customer complaints and inquiries, and working closely with team members to drive customer success. Responsibilities
- Research, qualify, and close new business.
- Quickly grasp the knowledge of company products, services, policies, and procedures.
- Effectively manage personal sales activity including lead generation, direct outreach, and customer visits.
- Cultivate client relationships towards increased revenue and customer loyalty.
- Serve as a liaison for assigned existing accounts.
- Resolve any client issues by communicating and engaging with the appropriate internal resources.
- Work closely with the leadership team to create a sales strategy.
- Drive the growth of the company’s revenues and gross margins through sales efforts.
- Analyze, create, and present sales reports and forecasts to leadership.
- Work closely with Poly-Tek Design Engineers, Tooling Houses, Technical Director and Manufacturing on optimizing part design for manufacturability, tool configuration, material selection, & production process.
- Drive project success with ownership of the total sales process from new part idea generation to materials engineering & manufacturing design support to the final launch of a new product.
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts to the operational team to ensure inventory levels are up to date.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business preferred; Manufacturing Industry experience considered.
- 3+ years of sales experience.
- Self-starter who is flexible, highly adaptable, and able to work at a fast pace.
- Outstanding customer service skills, thoughtful listener, and the ability to work in a team setting.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and oral/written communication skills.
- Some travel with overnight stays; trade shows/expos (10%).
- Strong software skills, including proficiency in applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Slack. Understanding of information technology systems, including CRMs.
