  • Assist Project and Design Managers to resolve design compliance issues.
  • Build enhanced communications and expectations to successfully execute all projects.

Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years of work experience in related electrical engineering, design and implementation
  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited university
  • Familiar with California Electrical code, IEEE electrical low voltage (Brown, Buff and Red book), California energy codes (i.e. Title 24)
  • BS Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Proven experience in electrical design, implementation and sustainment

Preferred

  • EIT or PE license
  • Lighting design and implementation with certification
  • Food and beverages related design and implementation experience
  • Theme Park engineering experience

Full Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Duration: 6 months to start, extension and/or permanent within the duration of the contract.

Job Location: Onsite; client in Anaheim, CA


Job Description:

As an Electrical Engineer, you will manage from inception thru sustainment of low voltage up to medium voltage electrical systems supporting many assets. Performing as Owner’s Technical Representation, support and develop bid level construction documents including drawings and specifications. Support the development and authoring of proposals and develop workload estimates with critical path schedule dates to support our project management team. Additional responsibilities include immediate response and support to reactionary projects requiring immediate attention.


This role reports to the Manager of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing/Piping (MEP) Engineering with DLR Architecture & Facilities Engineering.


Representation:

  • In this collaborative role, you will act as Owner’s Technical Representative on projects from concept through construction.
  • Discipline focused collaboration to ensure optimal design and production results.


Coordination:

  • Manage the design and development of contract documents of projects with in-house and outside resources to meet project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate design activities and monitor field installations and demolition work that comply with specifications and code requirements.


Technical Skills:

  • Use and build your experience to guide designs for discipline specific input.
  • Review drawings, engineering calculations, and specifications and ensure that all projects are designed and executed to applicable local and state codes and statutes.
  • Review shop drawing submittals and respond to vendor’s requests for information per Resort standards.
  • Site visits to problem solve issues and minimize schedule impacts.


Relationship:

  • Partner with internal teams to develop, maintain, communicate, and enforce design guidelines, standards, master specifications, and details.
  • Assist Project and Design Managers to resolve design compliance issues relating to Projects requirements. Validate that all Item Specifications are consistent with products installed before archiving manuals.
  • Build enhanced communications and expectations to successfully execute all projects.


Job Related Experience:

  • Preferred Level: 7+ years of work experience in related electrical engineering, design and implementation


Education:

  • Preferred Level: Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited university
  • Preferred Majors: Engineering


Licenses / Certifications (preferred not required):

  • EIT or PE ideal


Skills Required:

  • Familiar with California Electrical code, IEEE electrical low voltage (Brown, Buff and Red book) , California energy codes (i.e. Title 24).
  • BS Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Proven experience in electrical design, implementation and sustainment.


Skills Desired:

  • Professional Engineers license in good standing.
