I am partnered with one of the world’s premier sports and entertainment enterprises to help expand their rapidly growing technology organization. Senior Software Engineers should have a solid background in enterprise Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JVM, and Kotlin, with expertise in the full software development lifecycle and experience building highly scalable distributed systems.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-traffic, large-scale global platforms, covering everything from content to media and on-demand services.
• Solve challenging problems and enhance existing products to create engaging user experiences.
• Design and build complex applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in development, cloud architecture, and agile methodologies.
• Develop using CI/CD pipelines and implement quality automation.
• Maintain and expand expertise in multiple languages, frameworks, tools, devices, and applications.
• Utilize the latest Java, Spring, JVM, Kotlin, Microservices, and Cloud technologies to grow the business platform.
• Lead and take ownership of critical projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate with a team of extraordinary engineers and technologists.
• Drive innovation for products used by millions of users worldwide.
• Engage in full lifecycle software development: from requirements gathering to design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Help transform how content is consumed across various platforms.

Skills & Experience Needed:

• 5+ years of software development experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and JVM.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with or experience in using Kotlin for backend development.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP and/or AWS.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Agile processes, automation, and design patterns.
• Proven experience in building scalable, high-volume, distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Must be based in Los Angeles for a hybrid work schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field.
