The Warehouse Manager at Compunnel Inc. is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring adherence to safety policies and customer specifications, supervising the team, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, and coordinating with customers and other departments to meet quality and shipping objectives. This role also involves stock control, inventory management, process efficiency improvement, manpower management, and building renovation coordination.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a range of goods
- Ensure all products are packed with strict adherence to Safety policies and customer specifications
- Ensure that all workers adhere to policies & procedures
- Supervise the team and be accountable to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Coordinate with customers and other departments
- Ensure that quality and shipping objectives and delivery deadlines are met
- Stock Control and inventory management
- Increase process efficiencies and lower cost, keeping quality and customer satisfaction
- Assist the Plant Manager in the management of manpower depending on the fluctuation of delivery volumes
- Rigorous control and monitoring to ensure the highest levels of Security, Organization, cleanliness, and efficiency
- Support, Coach and constantly improve the team’s skills
- Assist and coordinate transfer of equipment
- Gets quotes for approval by senior management for Reviewing, scheduling, and overseeing all building renovations
- Produces Comprehensive Materials List for Repairs
- Updates all parties involved in work progress and/or informing same of changes/additions to original work order or repair specifications
- Perform other Tasks as required or dictated by the overall business needs
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years recent & relevant warehouse management experience
- 2 years of 3PL and Logistics experience
- Post-secondary education in Logistics or a related discipline
- Knowledge of distribution supply chain management
- Knowledge and experience in provincial employment and safety legislation (Specially in the warehousing and logistics field)
- Working knowledge of warehouse management systems
- Advanced Microsoft office skills specially in Outlook and Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Results oriented, Self-Learner with a drive for constant improvement
- Great sense of initiative and leadership
Preferred
- Fluency in French
