Qualifications

Required

Electrical Design Engineer- Must have automotive design (Ford/GM a plus)


  • MUST BE LOCAL to Shelby, NC. This will be a full-time, on-site position
  • Electrical Engineering degree preferred, but not required if experience in the qualifications below
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in vehicle applications and with the qualifications below
  • Understand OEM (Ford, GM, etc) CAN bus systems
  • Have experience programming vehicle code parameter via OBD2 equipment
  • Understand complete vehicle electrical systems in order to design and troubleshoot
  • Ability to use Solidworks for CAD modelling of vehicle electrical system
  • Understand/design wiring harnesses for vehicles
  • Experience with MIL-SPEC electrical requirements and connectors
  • Ability to design complete electrical vehicle architecture system to properly review power requirements for vehicle loads, alternator sizing, etc
  • Experience with power management systems that contain batteries, alternators, power converter/invertor systems, etc
