Qualifications

Required

  • Six months of experience in the assigned recreational activity is desired but not required.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and over 45lbs with assistance.

Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively. Responsibilities Provide information on the use of facility equipment, hours of operation, and general guidelines regarding the facility and its operations to authorized patrons. Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures. Monitors and checks the security of premises. Ability to clean, move equipment, and organize fitness areas to maintain a safe and orderly area for patrons. This position requires the ability to work at other Semper Fit Department facilities as needed. Collateral Semper Fit work locations include but are not limited to other fitness centers, 50M Pool, Golf Course, Party/Adventure Recreational Center (PARC), Bob Hope Theater, etc. Cross training will be provided accordingly. Incumbent will be required to conduct resale transitions through Purchasing Operating Systems (RecTrac), operate a cash register, receive payments and make change. Hours for this position vary, and each work location will have differing shifts to include nights, weekends, and holidays. Shift differential pay will be appropriately applied. May assist in maintaining routine reports and/or perform clerical, custodial and/or general maintenance duties as needed. Provides exceptional customer service, and upholds high service standards using respect, courtesy, professionalism, and teamwork. Takes initiative to solve problems quickly but recognizes when to seek assistance to resolve issues. Collaborates in a professional, supportive, and proactive manner. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Performs other related duties as assigned.
