Qualifications

Required

  • Unrestricted registered nurse license and driver's license
  • BSN required, Master's Degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of maternal, infant clinical nursing experience, such as postpartum, lactation consultant, or home visiting experience
  • Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Able to work with culturally diverse populations
  • Able to move or lift at least 15 pounds
  • Proficient with laptops, electronic health records, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated experience in early childhood and maternal services
  • Knowledge of Family Connects International and CT Office of Early Childhood (OEC) standards including reporting and funding source requirements preferred
  • Strong communication and computer skills required
  • Must have strong decision making, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Experience leading and managing employees and multiple projects simultaneously with differing deadlines
  • Have current driver's license, good driving record and reliable insured transportation

JOB SUMMARY:

Serves on the ECHC Family Bridge (FB) Design Team, supervises a team of registered nurse(s), ensures nurse home visiting service program compliance, provides home visiting to all families with newborns using the Family Connects model, provides professional nurse leadership, supports planning and socialization of the FC model across Connecticut's nursing community for anticipated statewide implementation.

Required Skills
